ENGINEERING DEPT. researches and plans development themes for new products and new businesses by grasping technological trends and market trends from daily activities. This department is dynamically deploying flexible market surveys for the Uchimura group overall including domestic departments and overseas affiliates and evolving its development function to create products and businesses.
Our Engineering Department is focused on the theme of developing, commercializing, and creating a niche in the market for water and metal resource recovery and circulation systems, environment improvement equipment, safety equipment, and energy-saving devices.
1. Recovery & reuse systems for water & metal resources
(1) Advanced treatment of waste water by the NS process
(2) Recovery system for base metals (Ni, Cu, etc.)
(3) Recovery system for rare metals (In, etc.)
(4) Waste acid recovery system
(5) Methanol monitor for the denitrification process

Recovery & Reuse Systems for Water & Metal Resources
We are working to grow and develop the advanced water processing and metal recovery technologies possessed by Aquatech Corporation, which we have formed a business alliance with.
Environment Improvement Equipment
We are commercializing high-durability, high-performance sound absorbing materials made from PET fibers that do not produce toxic gases when burned and high-performance diesel particulate filters that eliminate harmful particulate matter.
Safety Devices
We are developing a unique nut and bolt looseness management system that uses battery-free IC tags. The system automatically determines looseness simply by holding a reader over a nut or bolt that requires advanced reliability or by passing it through a fixed reader.
