Since our founding in 1939, Uchimura has served as a specialized trading company for machine parts. We work alongside our customers through product development, prototyping, evaluation, and mass-production supply, all based on their needs. As part of the modern global manufacturing landscape, we draw on our domestic and international business sites to build optimal supply systems that span the globe.
Our work is guided by our corporate philosophy of “responding accurately to customer needs” as we strive to give our customers peace of mind and earn their trust. We offer quality control, inspection, sub-assembly, and a variety of parts-delivery methods to suit our customers’ specific requirements. Looking forward, we aim to become a truly unique company as we grow steadily based on our experience and track record, while demonstrating what truly sets us apart.
Our 2025 corporate mission of “rapidly connecting manufacturing sites" embodies our commitment to delivering both accuracy and speed. Our international subsidiaries also have quality control departments that help them go beyond simply supplying parts, by also performing sub-assembly and inspection as integrated operations. We support customer value chains through processes from procurement through delivery as a single, seamless flow.
Our Mid-term Management Plan positions international markets as the engine of growth, and we will also strengthen our foundation through AI, digital transformation, and improving our core systems. Unifying our core systems at home and abroad will boost both speed and consistency. Through digital transformation, we will share container cargo location, inventory status, and inspection data to improve traceability. With AI, we are focused on supporting work and exploring applications in an effort to address labor shortages and deliver fast, accurate, and reasonable responses to customer quote requests.
Uchimura is more than just a trading company that moves goods around. We design and execute everything end-to-end, including development, procurement, inventory management, sub-assembly, inspection, and JIT delivery. No matter how advanced streamlining and systemization become, manufacturing sites will not disappear. We believe it is essential to always uphold sangen-shugi (the principle of valuing the actual workplace, actual product, and actual situation), verifying what is happening on the ground, and making sound decisions quickly. We deliver anywhere in the world quickly and accurately, with the same approach and the same quality.
As we approach our 100-year anniversary and beyond, we will carry on the spirit of our foundation, unflinching in the face of change, and continue to support manufacturing around the world.
